7. Jellyfish, Corals and Crustaceans

Jellyfish is a sea creature with a soft, oval, almost transparent body. Jellyfish are mainly free-swimming marine animals with umbrella-shaped bells and trailing tentacles, although a few are not mobile, being anchored to the seabed by stalks. The bell can pulsate to provide propulsion and highly efficient drive. The tentacles are armed with stinging cells and may be used to capture prey and defend against predators.

The body of a coral animal consists of a polyp — a hollow cylindrical structure attached at its lower end to the rock. The term coral is also applied to the skeletons of those animals, particularly to those of the stone-like corals. There are more than 2.300 species of corals in the world.

There are more than 67,000 species of crustaceans in the world.

Crab is a sea creature with five pairs of legs and a round, flat body covered by a shell. There are more than 10,000 species on the world.

Lobster is an animal that lives in the sea and has a long body covered with a hard shell, two large claws, and eight legs.

Crayfish is a small animal that lives in rivers and is similar to a lobster.

Shrimp is a very small sea creature similar to a prawn but smaller. There are more than 2,000 species in the world.
